Joshua Summary

The Book of Joshua is the sixth of the Old Testament. It has 24 chapters; these chapters tell of the entry into Canaan, how Joshua conquered it, lead the people in Canaan, and how the people served God. These events take place after the Israelites left Egypt.

The book itself is divided into two equal parts. The first part contains the stories of how the Israelites destroyed their enemies. The other part of the Book of Joshua narrates the division of the conquered land among the twelve tribes.
