10 Favorite War Of Ages Songs Of All Time

War Of Ages is one of those metal bands you have to see live!  They don’t just perform, they engage their fans.  If the crowd is close to them when they come out to start the show they give them high fives and make them feel welcome.  Combine that sense of brotherhood with lightning fast guitar solos, amazing lyrics and good breakdowns and you have one of the best Christian bands out there today!  Picking my favorite 10 songs from them was tough because they have so many great riffs and lyrics.  But, here are my 10 favorite songs by War Of Ages with favorite lyrics for each.  Enjoy!

10. Lack Of Clarity, Eternal

I love the opening riff to this song.  It has a hint of “80’s metal” in it.

Favorite Lyric – “I'm lost inside your world, hoping that You'll save me.  We're holding on to You again, and revealing what You've promised me.”

9. Aftermath, Pride Of The Wicked

Favorite Lyric – “Hide no more!  Become a messenger!  Cry out a song of praise that is true!  Transform, become a flesh that's reborn!”

7. Lionheart, Supreme Chaos

6. My Solitude, Fire From The Tomb

Favorite Lyric – “I look to You for I am lost.  Your outstretched arms hold me tight.  The look in Your eyes takes my fear.  My hands are raised up to the sky.  I'm living breathless in my solitude.”

5. Strength Within, Pride Of The Wicked

Favorite Lyric – “I won't hide behind my faith to keep me safe.  The time has come for us to rise against our fear and lead a world that hides its shame.  I hope we'll rise at the chance to live again.”

4. Salvation, Arise And Conquer

An awesome solo starts this one off!

Favorite Lyric – “Ready, I am ready, breathe salvation.  Lord we hear Your prayer.  Bring forth revival.  Rise, oh Ancient One, breathe salvation.”

3. All Consuming Fire, Arise And Conquer

Favorite Lyric – “Straight to the heart God give me strength.  River of life, flow through my veins.  I exalt Your name.  Hold on to me.  I'll never let go.  Consume me Lord.”

2. Battle On, Fire From The Tomb

I love the outro to this song. 

Favorite Lyric – “Now that our time is near we hold our own until the end.  Fight with every breath with faith.  Don't look back.  We fight for the Truth!  Yeah!”

This song is amazing in all aspects.  The lyrics are solid.  The clean vocals and screams are epic!  The guitar solo is absolutely SICK!  Here are the lyrics for the whole song!

War Of Ages has made a name for themselves in the Christian metal scene.  They love touring.  They love recording.  They love their fans!  These guys are definitely worth checking out if you aren’t familiar with their music.  Go watch them live once.  You won’t be disappointed.  If you haven’t checked out their latest album “Supreme Chaos” then you are definitely missing out on some solid metal!
