The Power Of These 21 Bible Verses Feels Just Like Getting A Hug From God
April 23, 2020

In our highest moments of success and lowest moments of sadness, hugs are there when we need them most. Sometimes we don’t care who hugs us, just that we get embraced and comforted. But what feels better than a hug from our closest friends? A hug from God.

The power of these 21 Bible verses feel just like getting a hug from God. Why? The Bible reminds us that we are not alone in this world, not even for a moment. God told us He would always be there. But don’t take my word for it, read His message to us.
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.
Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.
But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.
For his anger lasts a moment, but his favor, a lifetime. Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.
Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
There is no fear in love, instead, perfect love drives out fear because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears is not complete in love.
The Lord is my shepherd; I have what I need.
Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
We love because he first loved us.
For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life.
When I am filled with cares, your comfort brings me joy.
Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God with your body.
When Jesus stood up, he said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
“No one, Lord,” she answered.
“Neither do I condemn you,” said Jesus. “Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.”
Give thanks for the Lord, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever.
Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.
Whatever people offer, God offers more. Whenever people are happy for us, God is happier. If you’re like me, sometimes you forget just how much God loves us. Thank God for His Word to remind us of that steadfast love.
For now, we can’t receive that physical hug we want from God. But rest assured, in the end when we get to heaven, we may have that and so much more.

A Prayer for Those Struggling to Love Their Neighbor - Your Daily Prayer - May 28
In the New Testament, Jesus affirmed that the greatest commandments were to love the Lord and to love one’s neighbor (Mark 12:30-31). A person’s neighbor included not only those who lived nearby, but also those who were quite different in regard to ethnicity, nationality, and location, as the parable of the Good Samaritan shows (Luke 10:25-37).
