Toddler Shows Act of Kindness to Stranger at McDonald's, 'He Loves Everyone'

A special toddler shows kindness by sitting with an elderly man who was eating alone. The little boy made that man’s day, and his mom’s. She teared up when she saw her three-year-old, Hudson, display so much compassion for a stranger.

“It was a kind of last-minute. We didn’t plan on stopping,” said Ashlyn Drew, Hudson’s mom.

When Huddy saw the man sitting alone, he asked his mom where his kids were. She told him they probably don’t live near him.

“And he didn’t like that,” said Ashlyn.

When Huddy grabbed his breakfast and scooted into the booth across from the man, his mom, who was recording the event, was brought to tears.

Friends Run in The Family

It turns out the man was friends with Huddy’s late great-grandfather and only lives three miles away from them.

“Since he was born, he (Hudson) has always lit up the world. He’s a very sweet kid. I didn’t think I would get emotional. I always say ‘Live like Huddy’ because he doesn’t see people any different. He loves everyone,” said Ashlyn.

Huddy's TikTok video gained over 1 million views.

A Smile Can Go a Long Way

“When you see an older person, more than likely their spouse has passed away or is in a nursing home, so I just say take the time to say hi, smile. A smile can do a lot. Sit with them. They can tell you some great stories,” said his mom. 

Huddy’s family and the man hope to enjoy more meals together in the future.

Sometimes all it takes is a toddler to show genuine kindness and comfort. What a sweet child. He’s surely been raised by some good parents!
