Elvis Presley Classic 'Where No One Stands Alone' Father-Daughter Duet

This heartwarming video shows a father-daughter duet of the Elvis Presley classic ‘Where No One Stands Alone.’ Both the dad and daughter are musically talented, and it is sweet to see them bonding in this way.

Angie Sutherland absolutely adores her father, Edgar Napier. But sadly, her daddy is battling stage 4 cancer. Despite the pain and sadness, Angie and her dad still make sure to keep one special tradition alive. They both go out on the porch rocking chairs and sing together.

Today, they are coming together for a beautiful duet of ‘Where No One Stands Alone.’

“Once I stood in the night

With my head bowed low

In the darkness as black as could be

And my heart felt alone and I cried oh Lord

Don't hide your face from me”

When times start to seem dark, it’s comforting to know that you can always lean on God. He will see us through any storm and He walks with us each step of the way.

Father-Daughter Sing ‘Where No One Stands Alone’

That’s exactly what these lyrics remind us of. Just listen as Angie and Edgar sit on the porch and belt out these powerful words.

“Take my hand, let me stand

Where no one stands alone”

It’s truly beautiful to watch the love between this father and daughter. It’s obvious that they share are very special bond and music is a way to bring them both together and forget about the worries of the word.

One of the best times of the year can also be one of the most difficult. Harvest décor leads into Christmas bells and lights. We fill the calendar slots with parties and events. This can create a low-level hum of anxiety if the upcoming family get-togethers feel like a risky walk through a minefield.
