Couple Celebrating Their Diamond Anniversary Shares the Secrets to Their Long Marriage

A very special couple is celebrating their diamond anniversary after 75 impressive years of marriage. They got together in 1951, and the happy couple is still in love after so many years. What a legacy!

It all started in Pittsburgh, PA, when James Ambrose saw Julia walking around with a friend. He was there looking for a pretty girl, and he certainly found one. They each thought the other was attractive, hit it off, and married just a few months later.
"Sitting there in his car, holding a pipe in his mouth. Oh, he really looked neat," Julia recalled with fondness.
Over the last 7 and a half decades, they’ve raised a family, which started out with two sons and two daughters. They now have 12 grandkids, 21 great-grandkids, and even 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A Wonderful Family Legacy
Their oldest daughter, Joann, said, "I’m so proud when I talk to my friends and I am able to say both my parents are still here with me, they are both mobile, they live by themselves. It is a great family," she said. "We never fight — that's one thing about our family. I don't think we have ever had a family squabble where we didn't talk to each other."
James and Julia, both in their 90s, still have plenty of wit and humor. James jokes that the secret to their marriage is that he is “not the boss” between the two and even sports a hat that says as much.
It’s lovely that this couple has made it so far in marriage and in years. They are very blessed to live independently and have not only kids and grandkids but also great-great-grandkids! Congratulations, James and Julia!
