Sisters Give Birth to Twin Boys, Just Hours Apart, 'Can't Wait to Watch Them Grow Up Together'

Four babies are a lot to bring into one family, but that’s what happened to this Texas clan. Two sisters each gave birth to sets of twin boys just hours apart. Rainy Jones's due date was two months later than her older sister Darian Lowe’s, so it came as a complete surprise. But the sisters couldn’t be happier that their boys have started out life so close.

Sisters Each Give Birth to Twin Boys Hours Apart

The boys’ births mark three generations of twins in their family. The sisters have two siblings who are twins, too.

“She found out she was pregnant, then I found out I was pregnant. She found out she was having twins, then I found out I was having twins,” Rainy said.

Darian gave birth on March 20. Rainy visited her and the babies in the hospital and then went home. She then had to go into an emergency delivery and was rushed to the hospital, where she gave birth just 13 hours after Darian on March 21. Had her boys been born just an hour earlier, then they would all share the same birthday. 

The Moms Never Dreamed This Would Happen

“We wanted kids around the same time, but we never thought that it would be thirteen hours,” Rainy said. “We didn’t even expect it to be a month apart.”

The sisters’ mother, Shannon Jackson, always wanted a big family, and she certainly got her wish. 

“I went from zero to four instantly,” Shannon said. “I used to dream for a big family cause I didn’t have much growing up, and wow. It’s huge that I can share this with my girls.”

An Exciting Future Ahead

Both of the sisters cannot wait to see the boys grow up together.

It’s just incredible that these sisters—who are four years apart and are not twins themselves—would both give birth to twin boys just hours apart. It’s also a blessing. They’ll both certainly be able to relate to their twin-parenting joys and struggles!
