Lost Teddy Bear Goes on an Airport Adventure Before Returning Home to 4-Year-Old Boy

A little bear named Bobby had quite the airport adventure when his owner, 4-year-old Patrick, accidentally left him at the DFW airport before embarking on a family vacation. The lost teddy bear at the airport. It’s like a Paddington or Corduroy story come to life. With his worn-out fur, it's obvious that Bobby is a very loved toy, so the airline took special care of him.

Airline Goes the Extra Mile to Reunite Boy and Lost Teddy Bear at the Airport

Once they realized Bobby was lost, Patrick’s parents filled out a lost-and-found form, hoping someone would find him. Once an employee found him, they sent the family photo updates of Bobby on the plane, riding a transport car, and “working” as a ground movement controller.

American Airlines shared a video of Bobby’s adventures with the caption, "Anyone else crying or just us??? 🥹🧸 Thank you, Bobby, for helping us out around the airport. We will miss you, but we know you are in good hands. 🫶.”

A Special Bond Between Bear and Boy

When the family got back from their vacation, they were greeted by American Airlines, which immediately gave Bobby to an excited Patrick.

They also gave the family a souvenir passport photobook, which made Patrick and his brother giggle as they flipped through the pictures.

"It had all these amazing pictures of what Bobby had been doing," the father, Joe Webb said. "And we were just so thankful that someone was taking care of him."

"Just so thankful, I didn't think someone would throw him away. But to have y'all treat him as lovingly as you did, which is just amazing," Patrick's mother, Hollis Webb, said. 

Isn’t it wonderful that the airline would do all this for a little boy and his family? It’s so very touching, and it means a lot to the Webb family. Bobby and Patrick will both sleep well now that they’ve been reunited.
