One of the last remaining American Idol contestants gave a stunning rendition of an Elton John classic.

The hundreds of contestants on American Idol have been cut down significantly. Currently, there are only 12 extremely talented singers left in the competition. All of them are vying for the top spot, hoping they can continue impressing the judges, but most importantly, America.

One of those singers who remains on the show, a member of the top 12, is Tyson Venegas. In his latest appearance on the American Idol stage, Tyson gave the judges, the studio audience and viewers around the country a thrilling rendition of “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”

In the clip posted on YouTube, Tyson displayed his beautiful voice once again as he sang Elton

John’s hit from the 1970s. Seconds into his dazzling performance, he appears to have won over the judges.

Luke Bryan is caught on camera putting his hand up in the air in whole-hearted approval of what he’s hearing. Near the conclusion of Tyson’s song, the camera also showed two audience members with tears welling up in their eyes.

But as spectacular as Tyson’s performance was, he saved the best for last. He lets loose and shows the strength and range of his voice as he reaches and then holds a high note for several seconds.

The audience understandably loves Tyson’s awesome rendition. They explode with approval, giving a thunderous round of applause. Right before the clip ends, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke are spotted getting up from their chairs, giving the young man a standing ovation.

Tyson has shown his absurd level of talent repeatedly. He could easily go on to become the next winner of American Idol

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”
