Voice Coaches Perform Powerful Mashup of 'Respect' and 'Hold On, I'm Coming'

Usually, the coaches on the Voice are using their skills on the show to help aspiring artists. But in this video, the mega-talented performers take to the stage themselves to perform a mash-up of Aretha Franklin's "Respect" and Sam & Dave's "Hold On, I'm Coming."

This is one must-see performance as Voice coaches Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, John Legend, and Blake Shelton all sing together in an incredible mash-up.

Most of the online responses to the video were expressing awe over the vocal talent of the ladies. One commenter said it best when they shared, “Ariana and Kelly made me think: “wow they were really born to be on stage”. They really know how to work a stage with just their voices.”

Several commented that Kelly’s modesty and ‘goofy’ persona had all but made them forget the powerful voice and vocal range that Kelly has.

One man online noticed all the positive comments the women were getting from the internet and chimed in to show some love to the men on the stage! “The women are in their own league but seriously no one's talking about how incredible John and Blake opened the court? They're so good and I am living for this performance from start to end!”, he shared.

John and Blake started the mashup with “Hold On, I’m Coming” and it’s impossible not to dance around in your seat along with the audience. Then Kelly and Arianna strode to the stage and Aretha Franklin would’ve been proud of how amazing their rendition of “Respect” was.

Finally, all four stars ended the mashup together as the light show behind them added to the energy.

Do yourself a favor and take a listen. It’ll put a spring in your step, and you’ll be happily humming for the rest of the day!

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1
