Carol Burnett Show Stars Pull Hilarious Pranks On Each Other - Comedy Videos

The cast of the beloved and iconic The Carol Burnett Show pulled a series of hilarious jokes and pranks on one another, forcing them to try and disguise their laughter during a sketch.

Not taking yourself too seriously is necessary for a successful, sustained comedy career. Actors and comedians often find themselves in some pretty insane situations, especially in sitcoms or sketch comedy shows like Saturday Night Live or The Carol Burnett Show. 

Those people must be able to take whatever happens at the moment and roll with it, whether it’s expected or not. But isn’t learning not to take yourself too seriously and being able to laugh at yourself something helpful for everyone? Nobody wants to be around someone who has no sense of humor or cannot take a joke. 

In a clip posted on YouTube, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman and Vicki Lawrence show they can take a joke. The Carol Burnett program was known for its cast, mainly Harvey, breaking character and bursting into laughter during the middle of a skit. 

The 11-minute clip shows some of the best pranks and jokes they pulled on one another. Some of the bits included in the video are of Carol speaking to the audience before the show. As she does her iconic Tarzan call, someone dressed as a gorilla unexpectedly runs up and down the aisles. 

At another point in the clip, Carol informs the audience about the prank she will play on Harvey. Things go about as expected, and everyone ends up doubled over in laughter. 

Near the clip's conclusion, Carol attempts to lip-sync along. However, one of the show’s crew members has a bit of fun with her. The speed and sound of the recording are manipulated so much that lip-syncing to it is impossible.
