Tribute to my Daddy
My hero was born on March 26, 1962 in Pheonix Arizona. He is a man loved all around the world. Touched lives of people that I never knew exsisted. He was truely a man of God. He always knew exactly the right words to say, always knew how to comfort those around him. He wrote a book, Living in the Real Church, which has been in the homes and hearts of people all across this nation. He had a sparkle in his eye that I've never seen in anyone else, and a chuckle in his laugh that could bring anyone to smile. He was serious when needed and gosh he was goofy the rest of the time. I used to think some of the things he said and did were embarressing, but as I grew I learned that these personality traits that he poscessed made him who he is, and he was one of the most amazingly blessed men that I knew. He was stronger and smarter than anyone out there. Never let anything keep him from God's plan. His intelligence was incredible. Smarter than any man. He went through a lot of grief in his life. But I looked up to him for the strength in which he made it through these circumstances. He was truely a pilar to look up to. He is my hero and he is my father. He went home to HIS father to HIS home on September 1, 2007. And I know that he is where he needs to be. It is just just beyond hard knowing that he can't be here with me any longer. But I know I will see him again, I know he will hold me again. Rest in peace Daddy. I love you more than words can desribe, you are everything that I could ever dream of being. I want to make you proud.
Today's Devotional
A Prayer to Help You Comfort Others - Your Daily Prayer - April 25
Have you ever wondered if there is any purpose in your suffering? We certainly don’t go looking for suffering—it comes to us because life is a journey through difficulties and triumphs. Sufferings are a reminder of what Jesus Christ went through and it is a way for us to encourage others.
