The late Dr. Charles Stanley shares an important reminder that God is with us all of the time.

Dr. Stanley rose to prominence as the pastor of First Baptist Church Atlanta. For over 65 years, he dedicated his life to ministry and sharing the gospel with people all over the world. 

Sadly, on April 18, 2023, Dr. Stanley passed away. At 90 years old, he truly left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.

On Twitter, In Touch Ministries, shared a heartfelt note. “God called our beloved pastor, Dr. Charles Stanley, home to heaven. Dr. Stanley lived a life of obedience and is now receiving the joy of his soul—seeing his Savior face-to-face.”

As the founder of In Touch Ministries, Dr. Stanley delivered the gospel through multiple mediums, such as TV, radio and podcasts.

Today, we look back at one of his most iconic messages. Dr. Stanley is reminding us that God never leaves us alone. 

“When you and I are walking through the dark times, no matter how dark, no matter who caused it, no matter what the source is, the basic bottom line principle is this: God is with me in this darkness.”

As humans, we all walk through darkness. And it’s during these times that it is so important to keep our eyes upon the Lord and remember that His strength is always by our side. 

What a powerful message from this unforgettable speaker.
