Heartbreak and Rage: Ten Years Under Sun Myung Moon - Ministry Videos

This video provides a summary of the contents of my book, which is titled Heartbreak and Rage: Ten Years Under Sun Myung Moon, A Cult Survivor's Memoir. The book recounts my experiences as a former member of Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, often called the "Moonies". In 1976 I was deceptively lured into the group by some people who pretended to be the "Creative Community Project" and who did not reveal their links to Moon for (in my case, which was a bit unusual) 4 weeks. For the next 10 years I remained a follower of Moon, and traveled all over the United States as well as in Canada and England. I worked long hours selling flowers and trinkets to raise funds for Moon. I was "matched" in an engagement ceremony by Moon to a woman I did not know, and later "married" to her in a mass wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York. However, Unification Church rules did not permit us to live together. In 1986 I finally quit the cult and only later understood that I was a victim of mind control. This is my story.
