A Thousand Tomorrows Christian Film Based On Karen Kingsbury Best-Selling Novel
AFFIRM Films brings to screen A Thousand Tomorrows, the 6-part Christian limited series based on Karen Kinsgbury’s best-selling novel. Check out the trailer, and add it to your viewing list; it’s streaming on PureFlix!
This family-friendly romance features a tormented cowboy, a sweet cowgirl, and a pretty, rural backdrop. The main characters are Cody Gunner and Ali Daniels, played by Colin Ford and Rose Reid. Cody is a champion bull rider, and Ali is a winning barrel racer. But both have a lot going on aside from their shared love for western sports!
The trailer promises that these two will meet, flirt, date, and perhaps—marry. However, there are things that get in the way of their happiness. Though spiritually healthy, Ali is physically sick. Cody is hurt and angry. Friends and family members have impacted the couple and how they live their lives, and they face the reality that their tomorrows may be in jeopardy. Ultimately, though, Cody is prepared to chase Miss Ali, and she’s happy to be caught!
The relationship between the two main characters is explored alongside “themes of trust, forgiveness, love, redemption, and transformation.” And viewers have the opportunity to more closely examine the lessons learned by Cody and Ali by joining a Bible study with the book’s author. On the author’s website, Karen Kingsbury provides short video lessons, along with downloadable study guides that accompany the series episodes. How cool is that!
New York Times Best Selling Author Karen Kingsbury has written dozens of books in a variety of genres. A Thousand Tomorrows was published in 2005, and there is a second in the series entitled Just Beyond the Clouds. Perhaps, that one will make it to film as well!
While television shows and movies are often inappropriate or unfit for families, it is truly exciting to see wholesome, heartwarming, and inspirational stories being produced and readily available!
Catching A Thousand Tomorrows looks well worth the effort, too!
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
