'Safety' Official Movie Trailer For Upcoming Disney Film

Be reminded of the important of family with the official trailer for the upcoming Disney + film, Safety.

This inspiring movie follows the story of Clemson University football player, Ray McElrathbey. Ray was a promising freshman athlete when he was granted custody of his 11-year-old brother, Fahmarr.

Their mother was battling drug addiction and Fahmarr was in danger of going into foster care before Ray took custody. Ray and Fahmarr lived on the college campus while the young college student tried to juggle academics, athletics and parenting.

After struggling to handle it all, Ray was finally able to realize that support was all around in the faces of his teammates and community. One quote from the movie says it perfectly. Ray says, “My brother and I had it kind of tough growing up. Clemson has given me the opportunity to change my life. My coaches. My teammates. These men are my brothers too.”

The movie stars Jay Reeves in the role of Ray and also features Thaddeus J. Mixson, Corinne Foxx, Matthew Glave and more. Producer Mark Ciardio remarked on the film in a release saying, "For over a decade, I've dreamed of bringing Ray's incredible story to the screen. Now that it's ready, I'm thrilled that Disney+ is making it available to enjoy together during the holidays."

The inspiring story truly reminds us all of the power of teamwork, willpower and kindness. Safety is a family-friendly movie that will be released on December 11th. Will you be watching this holiday season?
