Disney's 'Mary Poppins Returns' (Official Trailer) - Movies

Disney’s beloved character, Mary Poppins returns to help the Banks family again. After a personal loss, Michael and his children need help finding their way. As he’s grown up, Michael has forgotten his boyish dreams and his joy. But Mary Poppins has a cure for that!

Poppins (Emily Blunt) is “practically perfect in every way” and has a plan to remind the family of what they do have – each other. “Nothing’s gone forever, only out of place” Poppins sings to the children. The nostalgia of the story of Mary Poppins (1964) and how it made our heart soar as children has taken flight! To see this enchanting nanny who has a lovely tune for every one of life’s problems made us smile all over again. Indeed, it felt as though we were the grown up Bankses passing our beloved Poppins on to our own children!

With all the wonder and whimsy of the original Mary Poppins movie, “Mary Poppins Returns” carries with it the same stunning bold colors, imaginative sets, and catchy uplifting tunes. Expect an appearance from Dick Van Dyke reprising a role he played in the original Mary Poppins film along with a cameo by Angela Lansbury (Beauty & The Beast). Both continue to be incredible performers and are a perfect addition to make this film soar.

We were nervous when we heard that Disney was filming a remake of sorts to one of our favorite childhood films. But it appears they have done a fantastic casting job as well as producing a film that has paid attention to every detail that was so adored from the 1964 classic.
