‘Joy To The World’ - Pentatonix A Cappella Christmas Carol

Get in the Christmas spirit while listening to Pentatonix sing the Christmas carol ‘Joy To The World.’

“Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room, and Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing”

Pentatonix does an amazing cover of 'Joy To The World,' and it is impossible to not start toe-tapping. This is the real reason for the season! And the talented a cappella ensemble have fans singing their praises online for this Christmas cover.

“Just can't stop listening to this song,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “Every time I listen to this song, I feel happy and also feel the presence of our loving Lord Jesus Christ.”

“Still the best version of ‘Joy To The World’ I've ever heard,” writes another person online.

The song ‘Joy To The World’ is a Christmas hymn unlike most others. First off, it is based on a psalm, and, second, it celebrates Christ’s second coming much more than the first.

The song draws its initial inspiration not from the Christmas narrative in Luke 2, but from Psalm 98. Isaac Watts, an English poet and clergyman, paraphrased the entire Psalm 98 in two parts. And it first appeared in his famous collection, The Psalms of David, Imitated in the Language of the New Testament that was published in 1719.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Pentatonix sing ‘Joy To The World,’ and let the song be a beautiful reminder to us of the reason that Jesus was born. Let it encourage us to look forward to His return, not as a baby, but as the reigning King.

Psalm 98:1-2
Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
