First Look At ‘Homestead,’ Film From Studio Behind ‘Sound Of Freedom’

Angel Studios, the company behind “Sound of Freedom,” “The Chosen” and “The Shift,” has released a look at their latest film, “Homestead.”

The world is a lost and broken place filled with people who are hurting and struggling. Death, disease, violent, deadly conflicts and rumors of wars fill newscasts on a regular, daily basis. Most would agree that the world is moving toward destruction.

However, with all the evil and vileness in society, parts of humanity are not totally lost. But what if it took the apocalypse to bring about the good that exists? That’s the question that the new film from Angel Studios, “Homestead” asks and seeks to answer.

In the opening moments of the film’s official teaser trailer, viewers immediately learn that the world is in terrible shape, hurling toward utter destruction. A barn-like structure is engulfed in flames as a voice-over states, ‘Everyone wondered how the world broke.” A man looking at the frightening scene speaks into a walkie-talkie, saying, ‘We’re under attack.”

In the following images, it’s clear that society has descended into total anarchy and violence. The voice-over in the film continues, informing viewers that we have been on this destructive path for a while now.

“Deep down before society collapsed, we were already falling,” the voice-over says. “It was only a matter of time before it all crumbled.”

People are frightened and scared, racing to save themselves. One person is heard telling others to “get to the Homestead.” A second voice then asks, “Is this an ark, or is this a fortress?”

Near the end of the clip, a woman states that the probability of this ever working is slim but that she has hope.

“It would take a miracle for this to work, but I believe in miracles,” a woman says.

The film stars Neal McDonough and is directed by Ben Smallbone, the brother of Rebecca St. James and Joel and Luke Smallbone of King + Country.

Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or in act, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving praise to God the Father through him.”
