The story of a man who became a professional revolutionist, later a terrorist, creator of the political police, co-creator of the Soviet state, and in today's Russia and Belarus (especially in Russia) is part of the myth about the solid moral foundation of the Russian state. Vladimir Putin is considered to be his ideological heir. In Poland, where he comes from, he is rather condemned, as evidenced by the enthusiasm of the crowd after the liquidation of his monument at Bankowy Square in Warsaw.
