Disney's 'Mufasa: The Lion King' Trailer Unveiled

The official trailer for Walt Disney's upcoming film “Mufasa: The Lion King” has been unveiled.

The Walt Disney Company is known for creating some of the most memorable, iconic and beloved characters ever. Disney has arguably impacted animation and filmmaking more than any other company. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy and Minnie Mouse are just some of the many characters that are closely associated with the company.

In addition to the Walt Disney Company’s beloved cast of animated characters, they have produced an impressive lineup of films throughout the decades. Those award-winning films, which all have a strong sense of nostalgia, have a special place in the hearts of millions.

One of those movies that means much to so many is the 1994 Academy Award-winning animated film “The Lion King.” Simba, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa and even the evil Scar are beloved characters. The songs are iconic, working perfectly with the stunning images on the screen. What is there not to love about “The Lion King?”

Now, 30 years after the original, Disney is stepping back into “The Lion King” story with the film “Mufasa: The Lion King.” The trailer for the visually stunning cinematic work has been released.

According to IMDB, as the title implies, this film will investigate the origins of Simba’s father, Mufasa. Of course, Mufasa was ruthlessly killed by his evil and jealous brother Scar in the opening moments of the original film. He was thrown into and then trampled during a stampede, making for one of the saddest moments in cinematic history.

“Mufasa: The Lion King” is scheduled to hit theaters days before Christmas, opening on December 20, 2024.

The film’s cast is loaded with talent. Beyoncé, Seth Rogen, Donald Glover and Thandiwe Newton all lend their voices to the film.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
