Bluegrass Family Band Performs ‘I Heard The Bluebirds Sing’ - More Music

Several young and talented musicians performed a beautiful song about falling in love and a long-lasting, enduring marriage. 

Bluegrass is not a kind of music that receives much recognition or airplay on FM radio. However, when played correctly, bluegrass music can be extremely entertaining and a treat for the ears.

In a video posted on YouTube, the Brandenberger Family played “I Heard The Bluebirds Sing,” a wonderful bluegrass song about love and marriage. Three girls and one young man, who strums along on the banjo, play the catchy track. 

Two of the young ladies, those closest to the camera, also sing the lyrics to the song. 

The song’s first verse begins as most love songs do, with a young man meeting the love of his life. And like most other love songs, the boy is instantly smitten with the girl. The lyrics state that the girl gave “my lonely heart a thrill.”

The first few lines detail the young lady’s looks, which describe her eyes as “blue mid-summer skies.” She has completely changed his entire world. Simply holding the girl’s hand makes life better. He can now even hear the “bluebirds sing.” 

Yes, it’s obvious that the man described in the song has fallen hard for the young lady. 

Two verses later, after months of courting have passed, the young man and the lady, with whom he instantly fell in love, tie the knot. The song even describes their wedding in “our village church” as a “dream come true.”

Two lines after the couple said their “I dos,” several years have now passed. But through everything, that couple is still happy and going strong. Listeners learn that their “love is still as true and strong.” 

What a fantastic performance from the four talented youngsters who play the tune about a happy, loving, long-lasting and committed relationship.
