The author of this song begins by addressing a girl who has became pregnant with a child and may seek an abortion. However, the author quickly turns to the man of the situation and spends the rest of the time addressing him. I agree with the author that the man needs to be addressed firmly. A greater part of the problem of abortion is because the man in the situation is a quitter and will not face responsibility.



This is an all too familiar problem going all the way back to the Garden of Eden when Adam stood by and watched Eve be deceived by Satan. Adam should have intervened on behalf of his wife to protect her. Men like Adam are passive and weak. They are choosing to quit on the women they decided to have sex with. They are leaving the women troubled, confused and desperate. The child is either aborted or grows up fatherless. Neither of which was God's design.



Where are the fathers of all the children living only with their mothers today? Where are the husbands of all the single moms trying to make ends meet? Where are the men today who can't face responsibility when impregnating a girl? They are the QUITTERS!



If those of us who call ourselves Christians would under stand just a fraction of how much Christ has loved us, we can begin to show how much to care, adore and love our wives…and never quit on them.



Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her…

Perhaps if we would just raise the boys we have now to honor and respect women, stop being so passive and accept responsibility we may just find a decent generation to look forward to!



Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
