Over 5.4 Million People have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo since fighting broke out in 1998, according to the International Rescue Comity (IRC). That's the largest death toll since World War II. The survivors left in the wake of this ongoing tragedy cary not only the physical scars of war, but deep running emotional wounds. Wycliffe Bible Translators work in minority languages allows us to create Trauma Healing Materials in local tongs; facilitating counseling, and allowing the teachings of grief and forgiveness to resonate with the counties 223 spoken languages. While may of these concepts can be tough in languages of broad regional communication, they will have their greatest impact in the language that a person thinks and feels in. Often this is not one of the languages of broad communication.
