Former Cruise Ship Singer Performs Opera Rendition Of 'Delilah'
Former cruise ship singer impresses the judges on All Together Now with an opera rendition of ‘Delilah.’
All Together Now is a BBC show that features a panel of 100 judges from the United Kingdom who all have a musical background. The panel includes performers, producers, and other experts in the music industry.
Once an artist starts performing, the 100 can turn their light on, stand up and sing along. The contestant with the highest amount of lights from that round will move on in the competition. Benjamin previously worked on a cruise ship, so he is comfortable performing in front of a live audience.
But his risky song choice made him quite nervous. ‘Delilah’ is a classic pop song from Tom Jones. It was released in 1967 and became an instant hit all over the world. While most people have heard of this song, I don’t think anyone has heard it like this.
Benjamin decided to give ‘Delilah’ an opera makeover and he belts out the lyrics with passion.
“My my my Delilah
Why why why Delilah
I could see, that girl was no good for me
But I was lost like a slave that no man could free”
Benjamin even adds in some jazz hands to give this song an entirely new feel. The panel was obviously of fan of the makeover because he received enough votes to move on to the next round.
What did you think of Benjamin and his unique take on this Tom Jones classic?

A Prayer to Help You Comfort Others - Your Daily Prayer - April 25
Have you ever wondered if there is any purpose in your suffering? We certainly don’t go looking for suffering—it comes to us because life is a journey through difficulties and triumphs. Sufferings are a reminder of what Jesus Christ went through and it is a way for us to encourage others.
