Hmong United Methodist Pastors Retreat 2009
The Rev. Paul Joseph T. Khamdy Yang, Hmong Caucus President and Hmong United Methodist Pastors Retreat Director, wrote on February 10, 2009 to Hmong Pastors Retreat Participants: "As we come together for our 2nd Annual Hmong United Methodist Pastors Retreat, grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Our text for this year's retreat is from the Book of Exodus 24:12: "The LORD said to Moses, 'Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction.'" Our 2009 Hmong Caucus theme is "Disciples For Life." As we take one step after another on this mountainous climb in the California-Nevada Annual Conference, we are called to live out God's commandments within our life, within our family, within our church, and within our communities. By living out God's orders, we will be able to make disciples for life in the transformation for the world. With that, friends, welcome and I look forward to climbing together with you. If there's anything you need while you are here, please let me know."
