If we want to overcome any flaw or mistake, we need to accept ourselves first. Accepting ourselves is the power to change. Blaming ourselves for what we have done or demanding that we do better doesn't help us to change. The same happens with people. The more we blame and demand that they do better, the more they resist and stick to their behavior. When we accept people as they are, we influence them to be what we would like them to be.
