'Dueling Banjos' From The Cotton-Pickin' Kids

Enjoy the sounds of ‘Dueling Banjos’ as The Cotton Pickin’ Kids face off with this beloved classic.

‘Dueling Banjos’ is a popular bluegrass song penned by Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith. Composed in 1954, it took nearly 20 years for the iconic tune to truly take off. After ‘Dueling Banjos’ was featured in the 1971 movie, ‘Deliverance’ it shot to the top of the charts. Decades later, it still remains a favorite song for covers and performances.

The Cotton Pickin’ Kids are a bluegrass family band comprised of siblings Giovanni Cipollari, Gianluca Cipollari, Rosalinda Cipollari, Cecilia Cipollari, Therese Cipollari and Savio Cipollari. Time and time again, these talented children have left us in awe with their incredible talent through musical covers and performances. To date, they’ve received over 2 million views on their YouTube channel and that number continues to grow with every new video.

On Facebook, the group shared the funny story behind their unique name. “On one occasion a gentleman asked Fabio "Papa" Cipollari what was their band's name Fabio laughed "We don't have one yet." The man responded "Well those kids can sure pick a guitar just like I used to pick cotton when I was young." and that his how we got our name.”

Today, the musical family band is taking on ‘Dueling Banjos’ and it’s definitely an entertaining performance that you don’t want to miss.

Every single sibling has a special gift for performing and it’s such a blessing to watch them use their God-given talent in such an inspiring way.
