Herman Munster's Message Of Love Still Holds True Today

Beloved television dad Herman Munster shares a message of love that rings so true today. The Munsters was a popular television show in the 1960s. This funky family was always getting into some sort of ordeal, but together they would see it through. The father of the family, Herman Munster, always had words of wisdom to share. In this particular scene, Herman is giving his son some inspirational words on being kind and loving one another. As he looks at Eddie over the dinner table, he says, “The lesson I want you to learn is, it doesn’t matter what you look like.” As Eddie listens to these important words, his father says that the color of your skin and your appearance do not matter. “What does matter is the size of your heart and the strength of your character.” Eddie takes these words in and it’s a special moment between the two. Decades later, these honest sentiments ring true more than ever. As our world goes through unprecedented times of fear, anger, and turmoil, it’s so important to remember this simple truth. When we show love and kindness to one another, we are following the path of Christ. He called on us to love one another with all of our heart. As we work to remedy our country and globe, let us come together as one and face each challenge as a loving team. 1 John 4:7-10 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
