Kane Brown Sings Randy Travis Classic 'Three Wooden Crosses'
Country singer Kane Brown covers the classic Randy Travis song ‘Three Wooden Crosses.’
Randy released this touching song on his 2002 album, Rise And Shine. It went on to win a Dove Award and the CMA Award for Song of the Year. The song was even nominated for a Grammy. The lyrics tell the story of four strangers traveling on a bus to Mexico.
After an accident including the bus and a tractor trailer, three of the strangers pass away and only one survives. Throughout the song, we learn the truth as to why there weren’t four crosses on the road.
“There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows”
Today, country superstar Kane Brown is putting his own spin on ‘Three Wooden Crosses’ while performing at the 2021 CMT Artists of the Year concert.
“I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go”
This song has held such a special place in many people’s hearts over the years and it is such a blessing to hear the next generation bringing this song to a whole new audience.
And the very best part is seeing the smile on Randy Travis’ face as he looks on while Kane performs. What an unforgettable moment.
Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
