Children's Choir Sings Chilling Rendition Of 'You're Here' By Francesca Battistelli
“Hold on now, I gotta take a deep breath, I don't know what to say when I look in your eyes
You made the world before I was born, here I am holding you in my arms tonight
Noel, noel, Jesus our Emmanuel, you're here, I'm holding you so near
I'm staring into the face of my Savior, King and Creator
You could've left us on our own, but you're here”
What a beautiful song, and what a lovely music video! The girls singing in the video are from Rise Up Children’s Choir which is a Utah-based children's choir that is composed of children ages 6 to 18 with advanced musical training. They all have such angelic voices and hearing them sing is just heavenly!
As for the song ‘You’re Here’ by Francesca Battistelli, the lyrics tell the Christmas story from Mary’s perspective. What was she thinking while she was holding her newborn baby? We can see how the song was inspired from the Gospel of Luke.
“And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.’” – Luke 1:46-50
Many people online shared their praises for the children’s choir and their performance of ‘You’re Here.’
“I love this song and am thrilled that you picked this song to cover,” commented one person on YouTube after watching the video. “These girls are so incredible and have such beautiful voices! That was an out of this world performance, and I loved it!”
“Angel voices! This is spectacular. I didn't want it to end,” writes another person online. “I will be playing this on repeat.”
