Born Deaf, ALI performs ‘Never Alone’ By Tori Kelly and Kirk Franklin

A musician with a physical disability left the audience and judges in awe of a Gospel music hit.

Talent, no matter the field or profession, is a great equalizer. It will cause people to sit up, take notice and pay attention to someone who is a great singer, painter, actor or writer. It does not matter if that person has a physical or mental disability. If they have unbelievable God-given talent, it will always shine through. Even people who doubted and dismissed them won't be able to overlook their talent.

ALI, a contestant on NBC’s The Voice, was born with a hearing disability. However, that has not stopped her from thoroughly impressing the judges, studio audience and the viewers at home all season long.

During her latest performance on the popular program, ALI sang Tori Kelly and Kirk Franklin’s “Never Alone.”

It was a stunning vocal performance that saw ALI put on a professional-level show, implementing the entire stage. She began by sitting on the side of the stage, sweetly singing next to a guitar player. She then walked up on the stage to take her place at the center as several backup singers joined her.

Throughout the performance, the cameras caught the four judges – Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, Blake Shelton and Chance the Rapper – thoroughly enjoying ALI’s rendition of the Tori Kelly song. It was not the flashiest performance in the world, but ALI sounded terrific. What more could you ask of a musician?

However, ALI will not be claiming the top spot on The Voice this season. She was sent home on Monday night. But she is not bitter and enjoyed her time on the program, claiming this is only the beginning of her musical journey.

In a comment on the YouTube clip of “Never Alone,” ALI posted a heartfelt message.

“Thank you guys so much,” she wrote. “This one was a tough one, and personally, I know maybe I could’ve done a little better but you know what, my goal with this performance was to share a message. You are NEVER alone.”

ALI later added, “Thank you for letting me sing for you guys. I promise, this isn’t the end!”

Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.”
