Comedian Recounts Hilarious Mishap That Led To His Firing

A comedian recounted the hilarious and entirely true incident that ended in him losing his job.

Throughout one’s working life, they are likely to have several jobs. Of course, the exact number will vary from person to person. However, most people don’t graduate from high school or college, get a job and remain with that same company until they retire.

Some people may change jobs as much as every couple of years. People get tired of doing the same thing or are offered another position with better pay, hours or some other perk.

Sometimes, people don’t leave a job by choice. Individuals get fired. It happens and is likely something most people will experience at one time or another. In a clip posted on YouTube, comedian Graham Kay remembers when he lost his job painting houses for the most hilarious reason possible.

Graham mentions that he was on a crew, and somehow, they got the address wrong and painted the wrong house. It wasn’t until their supervisor arrived at the scene that they realized they had been working on the wrong house.

Graham and the other crew members quickly packed up their materials and fled the scene.

Following that massive but hysterical mistake, Graham and the others on the crew were let go from their job painting houses. But that still leaves a huge question unanswered: How did the people whose house was erroneously painted react to their house’s new color?

Graham confesses that he still thinks about that incident and how those homeowners might have reacted after seeing the apparent change on their house.

“What happened to that family when they got home from work and their house was a different color, and nobody had any answers?” he asked.

Losing a job is never fun, and can be devastating but often the best way to handle that situation is with a little humor.

Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”
