13-Year-Old Opera Singer Impresses With Andrea Bocelli Classic

One teenage girl thoroughly impressed the judges and the studio audience when she showed off her amazing operatic singing skills.

Opera music, when performed correctly, can be extremely beautiful and pleasing to the ear. Generally, it’s not a kind of music that is widely enjoyed, at least not in the United States. However, one young woman’s dazzling performance on Australia’s Got Talent may alter how you think and feel about opera music.

In the clip posted on YouTube, Paris Morgan walks out on the stage, exchanges pleasantries with the judges and quickly gets into her performance. Soon after she starts, the judges and the audience are captivated by her unbelievable and undeniable talent.

She sings the Italian lyrics to “Nella Fantasia” by Sarah Brightman, and it is truly amazing to hear such a loud and powerful voice come out of someone so small. Geri Halliwell, a former member of the Spice Girls and a judge on the show, had a massive smile throughout Paris’s performance.

An older woman the camera shows several times sits quietly, with her eyes closed and takes in the beautiful sound.

The audience and the judges loved her performance. At the conclusion of her song, everyone gives the young lady a standing ovation, which brings tears to her eyes.

“Paris, what you did was like a performance from someone so much older than 13,” Geri says to the young woman. “You were singing from your soul. That’s what makes a star.”

A fellow judge concurred with Geri’s assessment of the 13-year-old’s performance.

“Paris, if we all had flowers, we’d be throwing them,” he said. “That was absolutely phenomenal.”

Given her awesome performance, it’s no doubt that all four judges enthusiastically agreed to put her through to the next round of the competition.

Psalms 147:1 “Give praise to the Lord; for it is good to make a melody to our God; praise is pleasing and beautiful.”
