Samaritan’s Purse Shows Christ’s Love Through Clean Water Initiatives Around The World

Samaritan’s Purse is showing and sharing Christ’s love through their clean water initiatives around the world.

Human beings require food, water, clothing and shelter to remain alive. If these basic needs are not met in a timely fashion, sadly, people will die. Unfortunately, for many people worldwide, these needs are not being met. They are dying due to either starvation or because of a lack of access to clean drinking water.

Clean drinking water is something most people take for granted, knowing that it will be present whenever they turn the faucet. But for some, that is just not the case. They are forced to do without or to consume dirty, contaminated water, which often leads to sickness and, in some cases, even death.

However, one organization is working to change that situation for those impacted. Samaritan’s Purse has several clean water initiatives, which they have brought and continue to bring to countries and people worldwide.

People in places like South Sudan in Africa, Mexico and war-torn Ukraine in Europe have been the beneficiaries of the humanitarian aid organization’s clean-drinking water programs.

However, the organization is not only bringing clean water and filtration systems to people who desperately need it but also sharing the living water - Christ’s message of hope and love - with them.

"We're here to ensure that we're bringing the love of Christ so that they know that God has not forgotten them," one man in the video says.

By fulfilling a need, they are demonstrating and being the arms and feet of Christ. People may not listen to your words, but they will always pay attention to and watch your deeds and actions. Showing people the ways of Christ, meeting them where they are, and fulfilling a need will always have a more significant impact than simply telling someone about Jesus. As the saying goes, talk is cheap.

Throughout the Bible, Christ constantly attended and reached out to people society looked down upon or overlooked. All were and are important in the eyes of God.
