'Messiah' Netflix Trailer From Producers Roma Downey And Mark Burnett
From the producers that brought us The Bible and A.D.: The Bible Continues, comes an all new Netflix series titled ‘Messiah.’
Roma Downey and Mark Burnett spearhead this latest television event that raises the question of what the world would do if the Messiah showed up today. Season one follows the arrival of a strange man with no past. He starts to change lives through incredible feats and acts of bravery that cannot be explained.
While many doubt the man, others begin to realize that he might be the second coming. The story will be told from multiple points of views including a CIA agent, played by Michelle Monaghan and a preacher, portrayed by John Ortiz.
Roma and Mark opened up about the new series saying, "Messiah is a series that will have the audience asking big questions. What if someone showed up in 2018 amid strange occurrences and was thought to be the Messiah? What would society do? How would the media cover him? Would millions simply quit work? Could governments collapse? It’s a series that could change everything."
This is such an interesting concept to think of how our technological world would perceive Jesus, if He came back today.
In the age of social media and instant skepticism, would we all rally around Him or immediately call Him a liar? ‘Messiah’ explores all of these questions and more.
This exciting new series is available to view on Netflix right now. What do you think about this series concept?
