This song was written while meditiating on how many times the words "in Chist" appears in scripture and how many times those words are accompanied by a promise from God. As believers, God calls us new creatures, born again into the hope that is only found in Christ Jesus. We need no longer see ourselves as the world sees us, mere physical beings, struggling just to get by and trying to make the most of our brief existance on earth. We are so much more than that. God says that we are made in His image and that we are righteous, justified and free in Christ. Able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us and seated together with Him in heavenly places. God sees us as the head and not the tail, as a victor and an overcomer. If this is what God says about us who are we to say that we are anything less. As believers we need to take advantage of all that our salvation offers and walk in the fullness of the new man and woman God declares us to be. Remember "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
