CHRIST Church Academy 2009
The vision for CHRIST Ministry is the Jesus Way: not the Hmong way, or American way, but the Jesus way! "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Our vision is of a church of empowered, grace-filled, serving, released, redeemed, reconciled and recovered 1.5 Outcast American-Hmong disciples bridging the distance between cultures and contributing to the larger church, community and world. "No Clan but Christ!" Scriptures that inform our experience include: Ephesians 2:15-22. Especially appropriate are vs.16: "and might reconcile both groups to God in one body through the cross, thus putting to death that hostility through it." And vs. 19: "So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but are citizens with the saints of the household of God." And of course, Galatians 3:28: "In Christ there is neither Greek nor Jew (American nor Hmong) slave or free, male or female for you are all one in the body of Christ Jesus." The mission for CHRIST Ministry is to save, serve, bridge and bless the 1.5 Outcast Hmong Generation in the name of Christ so they may in turn save, serve, bridge and bless the Hmong, and the larger community and world.
Today's Devotional
A Prayer for Your Child to Be Bold for the Gospel - Your Daily Prayer - May 22
My prayer today is that we will not hinder children from knowing the Lord. Instead, let us pray that their boldness will arise. But let us also remember we cannot pray for our children to be bold in their faith if we aren’t bold enough to teach them!
