River of Time

River of Time

2 Corinthians 6:2 New King James Version (NKJV)

2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

RIVER OF TIME
(Acts 9:11,12
Caught in the stream of time our life swiftly passes on by;
Heavy wings for a child, an old man’s soundless cry;
Time flies and draws us along,
Picking up speed as it goes,
But quickly ending eternity then begins.

Time like a river flows, it’s here and then so quickly it’s gone,
Leaving behind it a trail of souls that are lost and alone.
Many who trust in the future
And are foolishly laughing today
Soon will look back to the chance they had to be saved.

Chorus
River of time, so many cannot see.
River of time, we face eternity.
River of time, Christ died to set men free;
Help them to see.

Boasting no fear of death, a man walks by an open grave;
Who realizes deep down inside that death is something no one escapes.
But just then someone pulls at his old, cold heart,
A man with scars in both of His hands;
Time has given this man a chance to trust in the Lord.

Today’s the day of salvation;
Now is the accepted time.
Don’t wait to make your decision,
For time will laugh and leave you far behind.
River of time help them to see.
