Matt Maher And Friends Use Kids Instruments To Perform Worship Song

In this playful video, Matt Maher and his friends use kids instruments to perform his worship song ‘Alive & Breathing.’ How fun!

“What holds your heart
What stirs your soul
What matters come to mind
The cares you keep
The thoughts you think
It's not all wasted time
Seek and you will find
Joy still comes in the morning
Hope still walks with the hurting
If you're still alive and breathing

Praise the Lord
Don't stop dancing and dreaming
There's still Good News worth repeating
So lift your head and keep singing
Praise the Lord”

Even if you just have plastic instrument, you can still praise the Lord! It’s clear to see the joy on these musicians faces while they are worshiping together.

Matt Maher shares how one of his greatest joys is making music with friends. “Over the course of the past 20 years of music, my two greatest joys in this area of my life are playing music live and writing songs with friends,” he says. “That is why I gravitate so much to writing congregational church music - they're songs that are meant to be sung live and they're songs that come out of the gift of friendship.”

Born in Canada and now residing in Nashville, Matt Maher is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader whose songs have been recorded by many Christian artists. Some of those artists include Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Matt Redman, Hillsong, Casting Crowns, Meredith Andrews, and Jesus Culture.

Maher has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards, and in 2015, he was awarded Songwriter of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards.

Just like the lyrics in Matt Maher’s song ‘Alive & Breathing,’ may we always praise the Lord and never stop dancing and dreaming. He is our joy and our strength, and what a blessing that is!
