Conversation at the well
Jesus engaged in a conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well and led her to an understanding of spiritual renewal and true spiritual worship. Like the stale water of Jacob's well, our spiritual lives can be stagnant and need the refreshment of the living waters given by Jesus. To worship the Father in Spirit and in truth means to worship the Father in two dimensions - the experiential and the cognitive (knowledge). Jesus made a profound statement to the woman - 'You worship what you do not know'. Do we know the object of our worship?
