Native missionaries have many advantages over foreign missionaries: 1) they know the language 2) they know the culture 3) no need for a visa 4) no furlough 5) they are already on the field 6) they live at the same economic level as those they are trying to reach. It only costs about $2,000 to fully support a missionary for one year. Gospel for Asia now has 16,500 native missionaries serving in 10 different countries in Asia.
