Jesus loves me! I'm good and Ill do good..!" These are the most unbelievable words, that you can hear from a poor, hungry and unloved Gypsy child Each of these children struggles daily for survival. They donât know the meaning of words such as happiness, love and future.

Obviously, in the Gypsy ghetto in the village of Belopopci there is something revolutional happening. Every day more than fourty children come to the church soup kitchen to have their bodies fed with soup and their souls fed with joy

I'm good and I'll do good these are words for good instead of evil, love instead of hatred words that change not only the children, but the world around them. We wouldn't be surprised, if this confession came from a preacher, teacher or a psychologist. But the incredible thing is that the author of these simple words is Isus (the Bulgarian for Jesus), a 15-year old boy.



A year ago, he used to eat in the same kitchen and was equal with all the other children. Today he is investing his love in the younger children the same way it was invested in him.

Rayko, Boggy and Kally are from the same family. They are always first for lunch in the kitchen. I can understand that, because the warm soup here is their only meal for the day. Kally is the youngest one. She is 3 and can eat alone. She carefully takes the spoon to her mouth and I realize how precious is every drop of soup to her. Boggy is the middle one she will be eight soon. She can wash her hands and take care of herself. Rayko is their big brother. He has the authority and the confidence of the grown-up brother, but when the soup is on the table he forgets all formality.
