'Peace River' Christian Cowboy Film Official Trailer
It is always encouraging to see Chrisitan films coming to the big screen. Check out this clip of “Peace River,” a Christian cowboy film official trailer.
The trailer starts out with an older man on a horse asking a young boy on another horse, “Casey, what do you want to be when you grow up?” The boy responds, “A cowboy, just like you pop.” The father proceeds to tell the son what a cowboy is and how he comes from a long line of them.
As the trailer goes on, we see clips of the young boy growing up and becoming a man. He falls in love with a woman. Then, his love interest is racing on a horse in a rodeo and he is seen bull riding and blowing a kiss to his girl.
The father very wisely shares, “Never make the mistake of measuring wealth by money, don’t ever forget what’s important.” We then see clips of alcohol, and a worldly woman approaching him, followed by a clip of his woman hitting him and running away crying. Clearly, Casey does not make the best decisions.
Then, war happens and Casey serves in the army and becomes injured. He gets back home and tries to survive. Then, you see a clip of him holding his father’s hand, as his dad lays in a hospital bed. We hear the words of the dad telling his son that he feels peace when he looks at this river in a valley that he calls Peace River.
This movie reminds us that within our own difficulties, we can find true peace in Jesus. He is our Perfect Peace and we can always look to him no matter what we are going through.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27
