Beautiful Father-Daughter Duet Of 'Up Where We Belong'

This father and daughter duo sing so well together.

Adrian and Emma-Jean Galliard of Johannesburg perform regularly at corporate and charity events as well as host soirees at their home. Emma-Jean is just 15 years old but she is beyond her years with her musical talent. She has a strong voice that pairs well with her dads.

The two sing different genres of music, from classical to popular songs. They even have a few originals.

On their YouTube channel, you can find songs such as ‘When I Fall In Love,’ ‘From a Distance,’ and ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina.’ In this video, they are singing ‘Up Where We Belong.’

‘Up Where We Belong’ was first recorded by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes for the 1982 movie, An Officer and a Gentleman. Then, in 1984, BeBe and CeCe Winans recorded a religious variation of the song.

“Love lift us up where we belong

Where the eagles cry

On a mountain high

Love lift us up where we belong”

From just this one video you can already tell that Emma-Jean will have a long career in music. So many in the comments love the music they make together. One commenter says, “Beautiful voices harmonize together so good. Beautiful song. Love does make a big difference in lives of people and animals. God bless you.!” and another, “You blend your voices so well together - like it was meant to be! Emma-Jean is growing up before our very eyes and papa Adrian is the perfect accompaniment to complete this pairing of vocal charm! Well done as always, you two! And thanks for sharing and touching my heart yet again!”

It is lovely that a father and daughter have music in common and can work to make a career out of it using their natural talents.

“Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.” Proverbs 17:6
