V1DA Church - Mexico City
Eglesia V1da Bautista or (L1fe Baptist Church) is a church plant by missionaries Tony & Heather Williams in Iztapalapa, Mexico City. V1da is one year old and has about 25 people in attendance each Sunday. Heather and Tony made a deliberate effort to reach out and serve their community. This idea of serving started as a thought after being greatly affected by a concept called servant evangelism presented in "Outflow: Outward-Focused Living in a Self-Absorbed World" by Steve Sjogren. The goal is simple: to show people God's love in simple, practical ways. It is the most basic type of evangelism, often called pre-evangelism. During the year of the church's existence, we have done a variety of projects: given away food, gum, water, matches and washed windshields – all in the Name of Jesus. Leaving the confines of our church buildings leads us to people who we can serve. God can a does use this type of evangelism
