God has to deal with us from where we are. If our understanding is limited that is where he has to start from. simply because God talks to you does not mean you have it all right look at Peter it took 10 chapters in Acts before he was ready to go talk to Cornelius. If you aren't ready for something God will never ask it of you. There are all kinds of examples through out God's word. Peter and Paul are the best two I know of.
