The need of the church today: The Barnabas spirit
The Book of Acts records many exploits of the apostles like Paul and Peter. Barnabas was not listed as one of the Twelve. Neither was he one of the seven deacons chosen to serve tables. But he stood out as one who had proven Paul wrong concerning John Mark who had failed in the ministry. Here was a man who stood by others and willling to give a failure a second change. Let us learn from a man of generous spirit, a man who believed that a failure could make good in life if someone will believe in him. May God give the church the Barnabas spirit.
