The apostle John was a very fortunate man. He lived during the time that Jesus Christ invaded history. He was one of his followers and a close friend. He saw Jesus face to face. He witnessed the miracles, heard His teaching, and could reach out and touch the Savior. I want to have an up close and personal relationship with Jesus. I'm sure that you do too. We can have that relationship by faith. I like 1 Peter 1:8 which says, "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy." That is truly what happens as we get to know Jesus personally. Today we will talk about getting to know Jesus personally. I like the words of the song that says, "Some day Jesus is going to call my name. I want to get so close to Him there's no big change on that day when Jesus calls my name."
