Sermon: "A Drunkard's Delusion," October 11, 2009
When the comedian Foster Brooks made us laugh with his drunken performances, he reminded us that the world seems rather nice to a drunkard. The prophet Isaiah understood that, and tried to sober up his audience by showing them how their foolish talk was viewed in God's eyes. Watch as Pastor MacLaren speaks from Isaiah 28 on God's purpose to build his church on the Lord Jesus Christ, despite what others in their worldly sophistication think. This sermon was preached at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA (www.1stPresChPerk.org) on October 11, 2009.

Circumstances may continue to overwhelm us, but it’s then that we need to resist the wild, noisy patterns of the world and instead embrace and listen for the internal, always present, sound, steady, still voice of God.
